Delia C. Kidwell

Delia Cordero Kidwell, 84, of Sebring, Fla., died Sept. 29, 2012, after a long illness. She was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, and lived in Weyers Cave for 31 years before enjoying retirement with her husband, John Kidwell, M.D., in Puerto Rico and then in 1994 in Sebring.

She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren in Weyers Cave while living in this area.

She was preceded in death by her son, John Paul Kidwell, and is survived by her husband, John Aaron Kidwell. Also surviving are her daughters, Debra Torger of Sarasota, Fla., and Doris (Bob) Kidwell-Jerome of Bridgewater; son, James Kidwell, of Sebring; brothers, Jorge (Milagros) Cordero of Sebring and Samuel Cordero of Puerto Rico; sisters, Idali Cordero of Sebring and Rosita (Edison) Cabrera of Puerto Rico; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren in Weyers Cave. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the American Heart Association.
