Guy ‘Lynn’ Madden

Guy “Lynn” Madden, 67, of Harrisonburg, died peacefully on Oct. 5, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
 
He was born Oct. 15, 1944, in Rockingham County, and was a son of the late Margert Madden and Pat Cubbage of Rockingham County.
 
Lynn dedicated his time and love to his family and friends. He enjoyed working on TVs and radio, and cooking for family and friends.
 
Lynn was loved by many and will be sadly missed by those who love him the most. He retired from Harrisonburg Social Service, where he was a custodian for many years. He also worked at the Coca-Cola plant in Harrisonburg for many years. He was a cook at Lloyd’s Steak House and also worked at the Kawneer plant.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Braithwait Jerrels; a niece, Sheila Madden; and his beloved cat, Katie.
 
Lynn is survived by two sisters, Lucille and Diane Madden; five brothers, Jackie Madden, Joe Madden-Moorse, William Madden, David Myers and Jerry Myers, all of Harrisonburg; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
 
The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, prior to the funeral service at Lindsey Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. C.E. Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
