Sarah B. Tussing

Sarah Bazzle Tussing, 71, of Timberville, Va., died Nov. 8, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Rockingham County, and was the daughter of the late Weldon L. and Estelle Sheets Bazzle.

She was a pre-school teacher at Reformation Lutheran Church in New Market. She was a member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, but attended Reformation Lutheran Church.

In 1965, she married Don Tussing, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tina Crist and husband, Darrick, of Timberville and Layna Diehl and husband, Chris, of Mtn. Valley; one son, Mark Tussing and wife, Shea, of Broadway; one brother, Hugh Bazzle and wife, Judy, of Fairfield, Va.; a sister-in-law, Faye Sellers and husband, John; grandchildren, Katilyn Crist, Grayson Diehl, Gavin Diehl, Adam Tussing and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pastor Jeffrey Sonafelt will conduct a funeral service 3 p.m. Saturday at Reformation Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

The family is very thankful for Dr. Timothy Short, his nurses and staff for their treatment and care over the last two weeks.
