L. Ruth Jordan, 68, of Mount Crawford, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.
She was born in Rockingham Co. on Dec. 25, 1943, the daughter of Goldie May (Branner) Miller of Bridgewater and the late Alfred Lee Miller.
Ruth worked as a legal assistant at Hoover Penrod. She was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren.
She was united in marriage on April 10, 1966 to John Jordan, of Mt. Crawford, who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Leesa Eye and husband Patrick of Bridgewater; two sons Jason Jordan and wife Jay and Michael Jordan and wife Amy of Mt. Crawford; and a brother, Harold Miller of Harrisonburg. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Savanna Cyzick, Shane Jordan, Devin Jordan, Madelynn Jordan, Eva Grace Jordan, Chandler Jordan, Harley Jordan, Arlie Eye, Jess Jordan, and Austin Eye.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Oliver Jordan.
A funeral service will be held at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, with the Rev. Glenn E. Bollinger officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, from 5:30-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. The casket will be closed.
