Terry L. Raines

Terry Lynn Raines, 53, of Grottoes, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Terry was born in Harrisonburg on May 30, 1959, and was a son of the late Glenn R. Raines and Peggy (Dorraugh) Raines of Grottoes.

He worked as an electrician and was a member of Saint Stephen’s and the Good Shepherd in Rocky Bar, Va.

Terry is survived by a daughter, Whitney Raines of Luray; a son, Michael Raines of McGaheysville; a sister, Jane Herring and husband, John, of Grottoes; two brothers, Butch Raines and wife, Sondie, of Elkton, and Steve Raines and wife, Christine, of McGaheysville; a nephew, Jonah Herring and two nieces, Emily Raines and Elizabeth Janney and husband, R.C.

A memorial service will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Johnson Funeral Service in Grottoes with Pastor Barbara Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
