Eileen O. S. Watson

Eileen Olivia Sarah Watson, 94, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her home in Harrisonburg. She was born, December 11, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late William and Caroline Watts Watson.

Ms. Watson was the family historian and the loving caretaker of her mother. She was always willing to assist her family members when it came to raising children and dedicated herself to being available to do whatever she could for the family in any way possible.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Watson, and her brother, Harry Watson.

She is survived by one brother, Norman Watson, of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Violet Watson, of Harrisonburg; and four nephews, William Watson, of Ohio, Robert Watson, of Arlington, Va., Douglas Watson, of Richmond, Va., and Michael Watson, of Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg, with Pastor Ronny Breen officiating. The family will receive friend from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service at Kyger Funeral Home. The burial will follow the service at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
