DeWitt T. Casady

DeWitt Thomas Casady, 86, of Mount Solon, passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at home.

He was born in Mt. Solon on Dec. 15, 1926, and was a son of the late Loyd Edward and Pauline Ethel (Tumer) Casady.

DeWitt retired from Good Printing in 1988 after 20 years of service. He attended the Bethany Mennonite Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II and received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

DeWitt is survived by a daughter, Sharon Faye Auville of Churchville; a granddaughter, Heather Nicole Auville of Mt. Solon; a great granddaughter, Jasmine Stogdale and sister-in-laws, Zula Casady of Bridgewater and Audrey Casady of Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Bridgewater at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 with David Showalter, Clair Heatwole and Eldwin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow Emmanuel Church Cemetery with military grave rites by the Dayton American Legion Post #27.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater.
