Nettie S. Cousins

Nettie Susan Cousins, age 81, of Fort Run Road, Moorefield, W.Va., passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 1, 2013, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va. Born July 21, 1931, in Hardy County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Daniel Edward Mongold and Alice Virginia (Helmick) Mongold.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lynden Carl Mongold, in June 1966, her second husband, Willie Houston Cousins, in November 2000, a son and a grandson.

Surviving are a son, James William Mongold of Timberville, Va.; two daughters, Brenda Sue Hines of Moorefield, W.Va., and Barbara Jean Baldwin of Broadway, Va.; two stepsons, Willie Cousins Jr. of Lacey Spring, Va., and Bobbie Cousins of Deerfield, Va.; five stepdaughters, Margaret Reedy of Bridgewater, Va., Barbara Ramsey of Deerfield, Va., Sharon Snyder of Deerfield, Va., Sandy Golliday of Richmond, Va., and Pammie Jarvis of Bealeton, Va.; a half sister, Pat Wills of Hancock, Md.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous step-grand and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, U.S. 11, Harrisonburg, Va., with the Rev. Harold Cullers officiating. Interment will follow.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., Moorefield.
