Gloria Shaver

Gloria Shaver, 81, of Bridgewater Home, formerly of Mount Jackson, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Flat Rock Cemetery in Quicksburg. The Rev. Barbara Rhodes will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Walter Shaver. Surviving are her brothers, Walter Shaver Jr. of Winchester and Koln (Bud) Shaver of Kure Beach, N.C.; sister, Bonnie Bowman of Mount Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was employed on Capitol Hill by Rep. Burr P. Harrison and then the Ways and Means Committee. She attended Washington City Church of the Brethren.
