J. Coty Miller

John C. Miller departed this life to join his Lord Jan. 2, 2013, at the University of Md. Hospital following a short illness at the tender age of 22.

Coty was born Dec. 31, 1990, in Hagerstown, Md., and was the loving son of Kimberly B. Haines of Hagerstown and Tommy Miller of Harrisonburg. He was also the paternal grandson of Lowell and Helen Miller of Harrisonburg and maternal grandson of Madeline M. Mazingo and Cathy Baker of Hagerstown. Coty was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert C. Baker.

He is also survived by his sisters, Kiley and Zoie; brothers, Karl, Casey, Malaki, Joshua and Zachary; aunts and uncles, John and Susan Geisen of Elkton, Dan Miller of Harrisonburg, David Miller of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Sandy Miller of Broadway; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Amanda S. Socks of Hagerstown.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. by Pastor David Burch at Vision of Hope UMC in Harrisonburg.
