Lettie C.S. Heishman

Lettie Clem Swartz Heishman, 96, of Mount Jackson, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehab in Staunton.
 
She was born Sept. 17, 1916, in Quicksburg, daughter of the late Charles Edward and Nettie Rosanna Clem Swartz.
 
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Edinburg.
 
She was a valedictorian graduate of Triplett High School class of 1933.
 
Mrs. Heishman was married Nov. 12, 1938, to Earl Franklin Heishman, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1990.
 
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Bowers and husband, Fred, of Staunton; a son, Charles Heishman and wife, Helen, of Mount Jackson; three grandchildren, Susan Wright and husband, Forester, John Bowers and wife, Beth, all of Churchville, Donald Heishman and wife, Victoria, of Mount Sidney; five great-grandchildren, Dustin Wright, Austin Bowers, Hunter Wright, Ashlea Bowers and David Heishman; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Heishman of Edinburg and Florine Russell of Apopka, Fla.
 
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Edinburg with the Rev. John F. Taylor Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
 
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
