Charlotte O. Crawford

Charlotte O. Crawford, 93, of Waynesboro, passed away Tuesday night, Jan. 29, 2013, at Augusta Nursing and Rehab.

She was born July 22, 1919, in New Market, daughter of the late Garrette and Ada Harpine Olinger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jenning B. Oakes; her second husband, Virgil D. Crawford; one brother, John Paul Olinger; and a sister, Roxy C. Schaeffer.

Mrs. Crawford was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and was retired from Columbia Gas with 30 years of service.

Survivors include one sister, F. Marlene Kennedy; three nephews, David Kennedy, William P. Crawford and Randolf W. Crawford; and one niece, Romona Schaeffer.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Pingle officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Horeb Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be men of the church.
