Paul A. Gnadt

Paul Arnett Gnadt, age 86, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community. 
A native of Missouri, Paul was born July 25, 1926, and was a son of the late Roy and Ollie Shields Gnadt. 
Mr. Gnadt was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an electrical engineer and was employed throughout most of his career with Lockheed Martin Corp. and its preceding corporations where he was based in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He and his wife resided in Norris, Tenn., for over 50 years where both were active in the community and their church.
On June 21, 1947, he was married to Eva Ardell Crow, who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Waters and husband, Larry, of Rhoadesville and Marilyn Blackburn and husband, Craig Meyer, of Dunlap, Tenn.; and son, James Gnadt of McLean. In addition he is survived by his brother, Wayne Gnadt and wife, Joanne, of Denver, Colo.; and his seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Sunnyside at a later date. Immediate arrangements are being handled by Kyger Funeral Home.
