Marjorie R. Pitsenbarger

Marjorie R. Pitsenbarger, 90, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Jan.31, 2013 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab.
 
Marjorie was born Nov. 2, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Philander and Flossie Shoemaker Reedy. She attended the Harrisonburg First Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Harrisonburg Moose Lodge and Ladies Auxiliary Hose Company No. 4 of Harrisonburg. She loved gardening, bowling, weekend getaways at the cabin and was devoted to her grandchildren.
 
On June 27, 1946, she married Luther Ward Pitsenbarger, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Billy Pitsenbarger; one daughter, Betty Drumond; and one great-grandson, Noah Pitsenbarger.
 
Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Donna Wright of Harrisonburg; one brother, Stanley Reedy of New Market; one sister, Marie Bricker of Harrisonburg; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 
Pastor Dan King will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.
 
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday Feb. 3, 2013 at Kyger Funeral Home.
