Mary Flick Sager

Mary Vandevander Flick Sager, 89, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of the Bridgewater Home.

Mrs. Sager was born June 11, 1923, in Circleville, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Lambert Vandevander. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and was an avid reader.

On Sept. 27, 1943, she married Harris Elliot Flick, who preceded her in death in September 1974. She married Marvin Sager in July 1984, who preceded her in death in 1986.

Surviving are two sons, David L. Flick and wife, Phyllis, and Wayne H. Flick and wife, Wilma, all of Harrisonburg; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Sager was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Bishop, and four brothers, Stanley Vandevander, Denver Vandevander, Harry Vandevander and Arvil Vandevander.

Chaplain Deb Huffman will conduct a memorial service Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Lantz Chapel. Burial will be private at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
