Erma M. Strawderman

Erma M. Strawderman, 95, of Mathias, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at E.A. Hawse Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born March 24, 1917, in Lost City, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Annie (See) Shell.

She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Ivanhoe Presbyterian Church.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Buck” Strawderman, on Feb. 12, 1987. She was also preceded by two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Strawderman and wife, Joyce, and Gary Strawderman and wife, Carol, all of Mathias, W.Va.; a daughter, Delores Mowery of Delray, W.Va.; two sisters, three brothers, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Baker, W.Va., with CLP Ken Brand and the Rev. Lee McDermott officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Lost City, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
