Ethel I. Owens

Ethel Irene Ritchie Owens, 95, of Crozet, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1917, in Dayton, Va., she was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward Ritchie and Beulah Mae Coberly Ritchie.
 
She was also predeceased by her first husband, Roscoe Franklin Click, in 1939; her second husband, Herman Mason Owens; two brothers, Robert Edward Ritchie and Clarence Edward Ritchie Jr. and granddaughter, Vicky Lane Click Faranelli.
 
Mrs. Owens was a lifelong Baptist.
 
Survivors include her three sons, Donald Wayne Click of Louisiana, Edward Lee Owens of North Carolina, and Herman Mason Owens Jr. of Crozet; her daughter, Barbara Faye Owens Riehl of New Jersey; three sisters, Thelma Mary Rexrode, Hazel Lee Hirsch and Helen Virginia Lough; one brother, Lloyd Elwood Ritchie; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in the Hill and Wood Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Greg Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens.
 
Her family received friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
