Amanda Lynn Smith

Amanda Lynn Smith, 46, of Breckenridge, Colo., passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. She was born Jan. 9, 1967, in Rockingham County.

She went on to work as a real estate agent for Century 21 in Colorado. Previously, she won the Miss Rockingham County title in 1983.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Sue Roadcap.

Her surviving family includes her parents, Karen Furrow French and Kirk L. French; and two sons, Matthew Yetzer and Joshua Yetzer.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Harrisonburg with pastors Roger Dove and Margaret Mitchell officiating. There will be a visitation held at the church from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will be private at a later date.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Back to Roots Education Foundation, 2215 Jacquelin Drive, Pittsburg, CA 94565, to help build schools in Third World countries.
