David E. Monteaux

David Eugene Monteaux, 51, of Shenandoah, passed away Aug. 29, 2013, at his home.
 
David was born Sept. 24, 1961, in New Jersey, and was the son of Cecilia Simmons of Bevins, Texas, and the late Martin R. Monteaux. He grew up in Texas and was a skilled tow-truck driver. He owned and operated his own big rig before becoming ill.
 
David is survived by his wife, Dana Monteaux; sons, David E. Monteaux II of Shenandoah and Brandon Monteaux of Stafford; daughters, Summer Doyle and husband, David, of Louisiana and Victoria “Morgan” Treger, at home, stepfather, Jim Bevins of Waynesboro; brothers, Richard Monteaux of Houston, Texas, and John Bevins of Waynesboro; sister, Darlene Mallet and husband, Wayne, of Louisiana; a grandchild, Allison “Alli.”
 
Pastor Todd Stroop will conduct the funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow in the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton.
 
The family will receive friends Sunday evening 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
