Lillian M. Milliser-Jeter


Lillian M. Milliser-Jeter, 94, of Waynesboro, and formerly of Timberville, passed away Jan. 26, 2014. She was born in Richmond, Va., in August 1919.


She, with her husband, Roy, moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 1940. They lived in various Valley locations, including Strasburg, Clifton Forge, Mount Jackson and Luray, finally settling in Timberville in 1954. Lillian served as town clerk of Timberville for 25 years and served as treasurer of Timberville Church of the Brethren. After retirement and Roy’s death, she remarried and moved to Richmond, where she lived until her second husband’s death in 2008. Lillian was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her children.


She was preceded in death by husband, Roy E. Milliser, and second husband, Edward F. Jeter.


She is survived by her daughter, Myrna F. Milliser and husband, Michael Dove; son, Charles E. Milliser and wife, Kathy; sister, June Leslie; grandchildren, Sherry L. Williams, William E. Milliser and Robert Marshall; and four great-grandchildren.


A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Merle Fisher. Burial will be Saturday in the Timberville Church of the Brethren Cemetery at 2 p.m.


The family will receive friends at the home of her son.
