Mary Wilson

Mary Wilson, 75, of Edinburg, Va., passed away in Charlottesville, Va., on April 30, 2014.  She was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Feb. 6, 1939.

Mary was a member of the Zion Christian Church and docent at the Belle Grove Plantation.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wilson; daughter, Una Connolly; son, Brian Connolly; sister, Lyn Rogers-Haney; friends and loved ones the world over. She had a smile that lit up the room and an ability to keep you captivated with her story telling — she will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on May 18, 2014, at 4 p.m. at the Zion Christian Church in Maurertown, Va., that will be officiated by Pastor Sharon Waters. Mary will be laid to rest in Rayle, Ga., next to her grandparents and where she spent some of her happiest times as a child.
