I’d like to express my alarm at the rapid and continuous growth in Rockingham County. Weekly we read of zoning changes from agriculture to residential or business, requests for greater density in already approved permits and proposals for more, more, more.

We are rapidly losing our rural way of life and looking more like NOVA every day. Growth doesn’t have to go on forever and ever. There is a finite amount of “progress” before it starts a downward turn, and I hope we realize a stopping point sooner rather than later so we all can continue to enjoy our rural life.
