Elizabeth Estelle Foltz, 90, of Shenandoah, died on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at her home.

She was born on March 18, 1929, and was a daughter of the late Eugene Walter Dovel and Nina Florence Kite Dovel.

Mrs. Foltz graduated from Elkton High School in 1946. She was a member of St. Peter’s EUB Church for a number of years and was a caregiver and homemaker. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, serving on the church council for 15 years, a Sunday school teacher for 10 years, co-chairman of Sunday school and fellowship chairperson.

On Oct. 22, 1949, she married Roy G. Foltz, who died on Jan. 19, 2001.

She is survived by four sons, Roy Eugene Foltz of New Market, and Jerry Lee, Jay Von and David Arthur Foltz, all of Shenandoah; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Paul Dovel; and four sisters, Arbutus Kite, Audrey Loster, Ethel Stanley and Lucille Foltz.

A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, May 7, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton by Pastor Kevin Gerber. Burial was in the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
