Myron Howard Sipe, 49, of Harrisonburg and formerly of Elkton, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

He was born Jan. 24, 1969, and was a son of Bill and Mary Emswiler Sipe.

He grew up on the family farm at Island Ford in Rockingham County and attended the Life Church at Brown Memorial.

He graduated from Spotswood High School and Virginia Tech.

As a teenager, he was an avid skier and worked at Massanutten Resort.

He worked the majority of his adult life at R.R. Donnelley, where he held many positions.

He had a great interest in computers and science fiction throughout his life.

He is survived by a number of cousins and an aunt and uncle.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville with Pastor Justin Kimmel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Life Church at Brown Memorial, P.O. Box 133, McGaheysville, VA 22840.
