Sandra Lynn “Sam” Madison, 63, of Stanley, died on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born in 1955 in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary Woodward.

Ms. Madison was a homemaker, a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and an avid reader.

She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Madison of Stephens City; a son, David Madison of Winchester; a sister, Sharon E. O’Neill of Amissville; two brothers, Rudolph F. Woodward of Winchester, and Robert E. Woodward of Orange; three grandchildren; and her companion, Glenn Dodson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet E. Woodward.

All services were private.
